At just 16 years old, Owen Chester Singer, a local teen in Mclean VA, launched an inspiring new charity "Cancer Kicks".
You know that feeling of wanting to do more when someone you love is fighting a tough battle? Well, one local teen took that feeling and turned it into a powerful mission! Meet Owen Singer, a remarkable16-year-old from Mclean, VA who was inspired by his own mother's brave fight with multiple rounds of breast cancer. Owen didn't just stand by, he launched a brand-new, mission-driven charity business right here in McLean, VA called Cancer Kicks.

Owen noticed a small but mighty ritual his mom had before chemotherapy sessions: she'd "gear up" with a cozy blanket and a trusty pair of worn-in pink tennis shoes. These simple items were more than just comfort. They were a physical symbol of hope and strength. That's when the idea for Cancer Kicks was thought up. It was to create custom-designed items that offer comfort, serve as a physical symbol of support, and, most importantly, fund a cure!
“I created Cancer Kicks to give those battling cancer something that lets them know that they’re not alone,” says Owen. “Friends and family can also wear them in support. Even better, all the profits fund research that will ultimately kick this disease.”
